The Moniba Foundation’s advocacy efforts are spearheaded by Change Maker Monday, a monthly initiative that shines a spotlight on the issues affecting Liberians most. On the first Monday of every month, a specific social issue is highlighted through radio programs, street campaigns, social media, and peer learning initiatives, ensuring communities stay informed, engaged, and empowered. Through Change Maker Monday, the Foundation addresses critical challenges, including:
• Domestic Violence
• Quality Education
• Human Trafficking & Child Labor
• Water, Sanitation & Health Initiatives (WASH)
• Gender Equality
• Youth Leadership & Civic Education
• Peace and Unity
Hundreds of youth volunteers participate in these awareness campaigns, helping to mobilize communities, organize events, and ensure the messages reach every corner of Liberia.
Since its launch, Change Maker Monday has provided a consistent platform for public dialogue, civic engagement, and community education, ensuring that key issues remain visible and actionable. By focusing on one topic each month, the initiative not only raises awareness but also inspires action, fosters civic engagement, and creates lasting solutions to Liberia’s most pressing social challenges.
