Health & Well-Being

At the Moniba Foundation, we believe that true empowerment begins with good health. Across Liberia, many women, especially those in rural and underserved communities still face limited access to affordable healthcare. Our Health & Well-Being Program closes this gap by taking services directly to the women who keep our nation running.

Through partnerships with local hospitals, clinics, and volunteer health professionals, we organize mobile health clinics that provide free or low-cost checkups, prenatal care, and screenings for conditions such as malaria, diabetes, and high blood pressure. Our maternal and child health workshops teach mothers vital skills on safe delivery, newborn care, nutrition, and hygiene, ensuring that families have the knowledge to live healthier lives.

Several times a year, the Foundation hosts Community Health Days outreach events that combine health education, medical services, and the distribution of essential supplies such as sanitary pads, mosquito nets, and hygiene kits. We also prioritize mental wellness, offering small-group counseling sessions and peer-support circles that allow women to talk about stress, trauma, and everyday challenges in a safe and supportive environment.

By promoting physical, emotional, and mental well-being, the Moniba Foundation is helping women lead healthier, longer, and more productive lives. When women are healthy, families flourish and a flourishing family builds a stronger Liberia.
